This AI Content & Disclosure Policy ("policy") explains how artificial intelligence is used in the Productised platform, how AI-generated content is marked, and what you must do when you publish AI-powered products to your own audience. It forms part of the agreement between you ("Customer", "you" or "your") and PRODUCTISED LIMITED ("Company", "we", "our" or "us"), alongside our Productised App Conditions, Terms of Use, Acceptable Use Policy and Privacy Policy. If this policy conflicts with any of those documents on the subject of AI-generated content, this policy governs.
1. How Productised uses AI
Products built on Productised use third-party AI models, currently including Anthropic's Claude, to generate chat replies, reports, result pages, landing pages and other output ("AI Output") from the information your visitors provide and the instructions you give.
Where you connect your own AI provider key, AI Output for your products is generated under your account with that provider, and that provider's terms also apply to you.
2. AI Output can be wrong
AI Output can be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date or unsuitable for a particular person. It is not professional, legal, financial, medical or other regulated advice. You are responsible for reviewing how your products behave, for the instructions and content you give them, and for any decision you or your visitors make based on AI Output.
3. Machine-readable marking of AI Output
Our AI providers may add machine-readable marks to AI Output to identify it as AI-generated. These can include watermarks embedded invisibly in text and signed content credentials (such as the C2PA standard) attached to files. Anthropic, for example, has committed to marking content generated by its Claude models under the European Union's Code of Practice on Transparency of AI-Generated Content.
These marks are added by the AI provider, not by Productised. We do not add, alter or remove them. They do not change what AI Output says or how it looks, but they may allow regulators, researchers, media organisations and other authorised parties to detect that content was generated or processed by AI, including after it has been copied elsewhere.
You must not remove, disguise or circumvent these marks, or use any tool or process designed to do so.
4. Telling your visitors they are interacting with AI
Laws in some places, including Article 50 of the European Union's Artificial Intelligence Act, require that people are told when they are interacting with an AI system, and in some cases that AI-generated content is disclosed. Your products are available at a public link and may be used by people in those places.
To help you meet these requirements, Productised shows an AI disclosure in the footer of the public landing, chat and result pages of your products. It is on by default for products created on or after 25 September 2026, and you can add it to earlier products or remove it from any product. It reads: "You're engaging with AI. By continuing, you acknowledge our Privacy Policy and AI Notice." It links to:
- Your Privacy Policy, which you can link from your own website or write in the app, in which case we host it on your product's own address; and
- An AI Notice, which we draft for you in your business's name and which you can edit or replace with a link to your own.
You can manage these, and choose which products show the disclosure, under Settings → AI & connections → AI Disclosure. Pages served on a custom domain show the disclosure and host these policies without Productised branding.
You may turn the disclosure off, for all products or for individual ones. If you do, you are solely responsible for meeting any legal requirement to tell people they are interacting with AI or to disclose AI-generated content, in every place your product is used.
5. Your responsibilities
When you publish products on Productised, you agree that:
- you will be open with your visitors about the use of AI, and will not present AI Output as the personal work or advice of a human where doing so would mislead them;
- you are responsible for the content of your Privacy Policy and AI Notice, including making sure they accurately describe how you collect and use your visitors' information;
- you are the controller of the personal information your products collect from your visitors, and Productised processes it on your behalf;
- you will comply with all laws that apply to your use of AI and AI Output, including transparency, consumer protection, privacy and data protection laws; and
- you will follow our Acceptable Use Policy, including its restrictions on high-risk uses of AI.
6. Changes to this policy
AI regulation and our providers' practices are changing quickly. We may update this policy from time to time and will use commercially reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
